Rising Stars: Young Kato.

Young Kato are an alternative band from Cheltenham/Birmingham. Despite only forming in December 2011, they have already gained considerable success: their debut EP reached number 10 in the iTunes alternative chart. Yet I believe the best is yet to come for the band.
For all you Made In Chelsea fans out there, you may recognise the band from the first episode of Season 5.
They've also featured on the backing tracks to MiC episodes.  'Drink, Dance, Play' really caught my attention from the performance in last week's episode, and I've been hooked to their SoundCloud ever since! It's really upbeat and perfect to sing along to. I anticipate it will be a big hit over summer, with modern synths, brilliant lyrics and the perfect tempo to jump around to at a gig. 'Break Out', in contrast, is quite chilled (especially the phenomenal acoustic version on SoundCloud which really exemplifies their musicality). It's perfect to relax to after hours of maths revision!
The exciting rumours of an upcoming debut album from the band ensures they won't fade into the distance after their '15 minutes of fame' at Andy Jordan's birthday. Young Kato will really appeal to fans of the likes of Two Door Cinema Club and Bombay Bicycle Club and already have a dedicated following of over 4500 on Twitter. It's difficult not to enjoy their music; it's easy listening and their talent is indisputable, both on record and live.

Follow Young Kato on Facebook or Twitter to keep up to date with releases and gig dates.
A free download of single 'Lights', as seen on Made In Chelsea, is available on their website here
